A typical two-color PVC molding would use two injection units, which inject PVC materials with different colors into the mold following the set sequence. The first component forms specific sections like the sole. After proper forming, the second component in a different color forms the rest of the two-color PVC slippers, PVC flip-flops, or PVC sandals. Clear color separation and strong bonding between two layers depend on PVC formulation, injection temperature and pressure, shot volume, mold temperature, and cooling time.

Before starting production, mold trial should be conducted according to actual materials and molds, in order to determine optimal process parameters and prevent color bleeding, short shots, flash and warping.
